Queens Hall Gallery | Central Hall

The Central Hall or the Queen’s Hall is a key attraction for visitors. Circular in shape, it has a full length marble statue of Queen Victoria (1831-1901) created by Sir Thomas Brock, standing right in the centre of the Hall directly 180 feet under the main dome of the monument. On display is also the piano used by Her Majesty in her younger days.

The corners of the walls sport marble panels with extracts from two Proclamations of Queen Victoria dated 1858 and 1877 inscribed in different languages.

On the upper segment of the hall are adorned with a series of twelve semicircular canvas paintings by Frank Salisbury depicting the important events in the life of Her Majesty Queen Empress Victoria.
