From 6 December to 5 January 2025, VMH and Bengal Biennale showcasing a collaborative exhibition at the Great Indian Reformers gallery of VMH, “Threads of the Ramayana: A Kantha Chronicle” featured an exquisite wall hanging, meticulously handcrafted by She Kantha’s artisans from rural Bengal, brings the ancient tale of the Ramayana to life. Over two years in the making, the artwork showcases 42 intricately embroidered panels, each depicting significant events from the Ramayana with rich detail and profound emotion, reflecting both the cultural heritage and exceptional skill of the artisans.
