Biplobi Bharat Gallery (1st Floor)

On the eve of the centenary year celebration of Victoria Memorial Hall in 2022, a new gallery with a multimedia exhibition on the revolutionary nationalists of India, titled – Biplobi Bharat was inaugurated. Drawing upon the armed resistance faced by the British colonial occupation in India, this gallery displays India’s fight for independence by the revolutionaries from the 18th century until independence. It showcases at a glance, instances of resistance in India and across Europe through the networks of the Indian revolutionaries.

An interpretive display of the Indian National Army and the flags of the Ghadar Party, the Azad Hind Fauj and the Azad Hind Sarkar are also showcased in this gallery. The exhibition commemorates the struggle of countless freedom fighters and their contribution to making independent India, a reality.
