Rare Books
The archives of Victoria Memorial Hall house a treasure trove of rare books documenting India’s colonial and historical epochs, with a special emphasis on Indo British History and Arts relating to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Our dedicated Library has 15,702 books/periodicals (as of 2023-24), including many rare books. These books primarily serve the research needs of scholars and academics focused on diverse aspects of history and culture.
