Victoria Memorial Hall organised various cleaning activities and awareness campaigns on the occasion of the Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2024.
- Swachhata Ki Bhagidari:
On 17 September 2024: The entire campus of VMH was adorned with banners promoting the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign and a Placard-Making Activity was conducted for the students based on the theme: Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskar Swachhata. Thirty-two (32) female students from Loreto Rainbow Homes participated in the activity and created graphic placards with Swachhata slogans in Hindi, English and Bengali languages. The Swachhta Pledge Ceremony was organised in the Conference Hall. Smt Nivedita Roy Chowdhury, Accounts Officer, VMH led the Pledge ceremony for the staff members and the CISF unit of VMH along with the students of Loreto Rainbow Homes. A Cleanliness drive around the VMH premises was conducted with the students from Loreto Rainbow Homes, VMH Staff and the CISF Unit of VMH for public awareness.
On 18 September 2024: The VMH team created a Waste to Art Installation titled: Blooming Towards Life – which represents the journey to rebirth and transforms discarded materials into a vibrant expression of renewal, giving new life and beauty to what was once overlooked.
26 September 2024: Twenty Students along with teachers and support staff members from South Point School, Kolkata attended a tree plantation activity under the Swachhata Hi Seva and Plant4Mother (Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam) campaign at VMH.
2 .Sampoorna Swachhata through Shramdaan including Swachhata Lakshit Ekayi:
VMH undertook special cleaning of various areas on its campus during 21 September to 30 September 2024.
- Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs:
On 19 September 2024 a Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs (complimentary Health Check-up Camp) conducted by Kothari Medical Centre at VMH.
